I rivestimenti PVD vengono realizzati tramite un processo fisico di deposizione in cui il materiale viene vaporizzato in ambiente controllato o sottovuoto<\/strong> e successivamente depositato sulla superficie del componente. Il ciclo avviene a temperature generalmente comprese tra 180\u00b0C e 560\u00b0C<\/strong>, consentendo l\u2019applicazione anche su componenti gi\u00e0 lavorati o trattati termicamente.<\/p>

Lo spessore dei rivestimenti \u00e8 tipicamente compreso tra 1 e 10 \u03bcm<\/strong>, permettendo di ottenere un miglioramento delle prestazioni superficiali senza alterare le quote dimensionali<\/strong> o gli spigoli funzionali. La scelta del rivestimento dipende dal tipo di applicazione e dalle condizioni operative. In T.T.N. S.p.A. vengono utilizzati diversi materiali tecnici, tra cui TiN<\/strong>, AlTiN<\/strong>, CrN<\/strong>, DLC<\/strong> e WC\/C<\/strong>, ciascuno con caratteristiche specifiche.<\/p>

Ad esempio, rivestimenti come AlTiN<\/strong> sono indicati per applicazioni ad alta temperatura, mentre il DLC<\/strong> viene utilizzato quando \u00e8 necessario ridurre drasticamente l\u2019attrito.
