From raw material to finished component: a fully integrated production cycle
Managing every stage in-house means eliminating the intermediate steps that introduce variables that are difficult to control. At T.T.N., coordination between heat treatment, coating, and machining is seamless and direct: each operation is calibrated by taking into account both the processes already completed and those that follow. The result is components with verified mechanical properties, dimensional stability, and repeatable performance — even when complex technical specifications or demanding operating conditions are involved.

Tailored heat treatment for enhanced mechanical performance
Heat and thermochemical treatments are selected according to the type of steel, the geometry of the component, and the operating stresses it is expected to withstand.
Through controlled heating and cooling cycles, the material structure is modified to achieve the required properties: surface hardness, core toughness, and fatigue resistance.
Forgiatura: struttura e resistenza per componenti di grandi dimensioni
La forgiatura libera consente di ottenere componenti con struttura compatta e proprietà meccaniche migliorate.
Il processo di deformazione plastica a caldo riduce discontinuità interne e aumenta la resistenza a urti, carichi ciclici e sollecitazioni prolungate.
Il Gruppo è in grado di sviluppare forgiati di grandi dimensioni, destinati ad applicazioni in cui affidabilità e durata sono requisiti imprescindibili.
Rivestimenti PVD per incrementare le prestazioni superficiali
I rivestimenti PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) vengono applicati su componenti già trattati per incrementarne ulteriormente le prestazioni superficiali: resistenza all’usura, riduzione dell’attrito, comportamento in condizioni operative gravose.
Il deposito in vuoto di film sottili ad alta durezza estende la vita operativa del componente mantenendo inalterate le caratteristiche dimensionali.
Lavorazioni meccaniche per tolleranze e finiture a disegno
Le lavorazioni meccaniche completano il ciclo produttivo, portando il componente alle geometrie e alle tolleranze richieste dal progetto.
Le operazioni vengono eseguite a disegno e comprendono lavorazioni su particolari di precisione e su componenti massivi.
Il risultato è un componente finito pronto all’uso, conforme alle specifiche tecniche e alle condizioni operative previste.

Final quality depends on the control of process parameters throughout the entire production cycle. T.T.N. S.p.A. uses CAD/CAM technologies, CNC machines, and specialized manual operations, supported by systems and furnaces designed to ensure precision and repeatability in treatment processes. The in-house laboratory and R&D department carry out metallurgical analyses, microstructure inspections, and mechanical property testing, making it possible to validate treatment cycles, monitor compliance with requirements, and develop specific solutions for materials, geometries, and operating conditions, including non-standard applications.
